Yoga postures, or Asanas, are not just physical exercises—they are transformative practices that bring balance to both body and mind. Practicing Asanas tones muscles, improves flexibility, enhances posture, and aligns the spine. However, the benefits go far beyond the physical, asanas also have a profound impact on your endocrine glands, balancing hormone secretion and restoring mental and emotional well-being.
What to Expect in Our Classes
During asana classes, the focus is not on the intensity of the movement, but on alignment, posture, and breath. We prioritize a mindful practice where each pose is performed with attention to detail, creating a flow that gently stimulates the body’s cells, organs, and chakras. This balance of movement and stillness encourages a deep connection to both the body and mind.
-Gentle, yet effective: while the movement is gentle, the practice is persistent enough to bring subtle pressure to the Chakras, optimizing energy flow.
-Emphasis on authenticity: We strive to maintain the ancient wisdom of yoga, as it has been practiced for thousands of years, rather than reducing it to just another “style.”
My approach is staying true to the classical Rajadhiraja tradition of Tantric Yoga, emphasizing the deep connection between Asanas, the endocrine system and chakras.
The Different Approaches
In modern terms, classes draw from two main techniques/ styles of Asana practice:
1. Hatha Yoga – A slower-paced practice where poses are held for an extended period, providing deep stretching and alignment.
2. Vinyasa Yoga – A dynamic flow where poses are connected in a smooth sequence, with shorter holds, promoting strength, flexibility, and fluidity in the body.
Classes for All Levels
Whether you are a complete beginner or a more experienced yogi, our sessions are designed to meet you where you are. We guide you through each pose with clear instruction, helping you build strength and understanding at your own pace. Our classes are a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your practice without pressure. We encourage self-compassion and mindfulness, allowing you to progress comfortably.
Location
Our classes take place in the serene town of Zambrone, located just 10 km away from Tropea in the beautiful Calabria, Southern Italy. Surrounded by nature, our yoga space offers the perfect atmosphere for your practice and personal transformation.
